Overview: The position of the Studio Co-Ordinator at West Wood Club Leopardstown is a vital one. They have the responsibility of delivering the West Wood Club gym service promise to our members and engaging with them on a continual basis. The Studio Co-Ordinator will be fully responsible for: Timetable scheduling, Organisation of smooth-running classes, Assist the Gym Manager in the delivery of our 6-day personal training plan, Continual upskilling and class training of the fitness team. It is essential that the Studio Co-ordinator be friendly, outgoing, good natured and a welcoming person. They must display a helpful and professional attitude at all times, ensuring they remain responsive to the needs of members & guests at all times. This in turn should be reflected in the fitness team. Person Specification: A Studio Co-Ordinator will have previous experience of working in a health & fitness club and will have a nationally or internationally recognised fitness qualification. The prospective candidate will have the ability to teach a wide variety of high standard exercise to music classes and also in doing so they will have the ability to design the clubs class timetable which is both suited to members needs and wants. The Studio Co-Ordinator must also be fully qualified in a broad range of "Les Mills" fitness classes and be able to teach them to a very high standard. Having "Les Mills" fitness classes is a mandatory prerequisite for this role. The successful candidate must be smartly presented, honest and have the ability to work under pressure and multi task. You will be instrumental in the retention of members through the provision of world class group fitness classes. Through your friendly approach and cutting edge knowledge of exercise prescription, you will deliver exercise programmes that will appeal to each member and provide the basis for a safe, effective and enjoyable experience. It is the responsibility of the Studio Co-Ordinator to ensure that he/she and all the fitness team give each and every client their undivided attention. Core Duties: Create class timetables to suit the members and maximise studio capacity Develop & maintain the gym and studio roster that meets business requirements Implement and drive any new relevant studio classes Monitor class statistics and follow up on low performing classes Devise and implement strategies to grow class usage among all members Be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of all fitness staff along with the gym operations manager Coach all fitness instructors especially in class performance to continue to develop and upskill them by arranging training and ensuring they have all the right tools to exceed West Wood Clubs service promise Maintain and present the fitness team and facilities in line with company audit standards. You will be expected to support housekeeping staff in the cleaning of the club with particular attention to the gym and studios Prepare Les Mills Instructor class commissions on a monthly basis as per Class Commission contract You will be expected to teach a wide variety of exercise to music classes including the world-famous "Les Mills" programmes.
