Our client part of an international group are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. Role and Responsibilities Direct report to CFO of Ireland Ireland. The definition and supervision of procedures and internal accounting standards, to ensure correct allocation of costs in order to provide of a proper analysis of the current financial situation of the organisation. Managing purchases made in accordance with bid comparisons of suppliers and budgets. Preparation and settlement of bi-monthly VAT reports. To ensure that all statutory and regulatory obligations and commitments are met in relation to management of the company finances. Typical month end tasks (accruals, reconciliations, etc) AR Invoicing Monthly Supplier Payment Runs Manage all RCT filings and payments in ROS To monitor performance against financial and operational targets and produce monthly management reports. Financial statements / reports to management. To ensure that appropriate financial controls are in place for the business. Assist CFO with internal and external audits and annual financial statement preparation. Contribute to the project team in relation to all finance issues. The drafting of procedures for Finance and ensuring compliance. Requirements Must be Qualified or pursuing an ACCA or CPA qualification. Minimum two years of experience in an Accountancy Practice or other relevant position. Proficient IT skills. Knowledge of up-to-date Accounting standards. Preferred skills Good time management skills to meet deadlines. High level of numeric accuracy & attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP 4Hana.
