Site Engineer – Longford

Company Overview:
Our client is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team, working on groundwork and civil projects in Longford.
Job Summary:
Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring all work aligns with project plans, schedules, and specifications.
Monitor project progress, prepare detailed updates for the project manager, and maintain accurate records of site activities in the daily site diary.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring efficient workflows and quality output.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction adheres to technical drawings, quality standards, and project specifications.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare management systems by conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
Act as the primary point of contact on-site for contractors, suppliers, inspectors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
4+ years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
Familiarity with Irish construction regulations, standards, and best practices.
Experienced in the use of instruments (total station, GPS).
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
