Finance Manager Commercial & Turnaround Leadership Location: Co. Kildare (Highly accessible location / Free parking) Salary: €80,000 - €100,000 Base Salary Package: 15% Performance Bonus + €2,000 Private Healthcare + 5% Pension Matching Sector: Construction/ Offsite Engineering About the Opportunity: Amicus Search & Recruitment is working closely with a client of mine based in Co. Kildare to recruit a high-caliber Finance Manager. Operating from a state-of-the-art facility, my client is at the cutting edge of Offsite Engineering and Precision Project Delivery. Following a period of delivering massive, award-winning landmark infrastructure projects, they have experienced the natural cyclicality and \"lumpiness\" of major state and commercial frameworks. As a result, turnover has contracted over the past 12 months, and the leadership team is actively repositioning the business for its next major phase of scaling. We are not looking for a \"caretaker\" accountant to maintain the status quo. On behalf of my client, I am seeking a resilient, high-energy, and commercially astute Finance Manager to act as a core strategic co-pilot to the executive team. Your immediate mandate will be twofold: protect the bottom line through meticulous cost and cash management, while actively partnering with commercial teams to refine tendering, pricing, and bidding models to aggressively win back market share and scale turnover back to its peak. This is a highly visible, high-impact role based in Kildare. If you want to put your name on a genuine business turnaround and growth story, this is your next career step. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Finance & Strategic Contribution: Act as a key strategic advisor to the leadership team on financial and operational performance. Provide rigorous project-level financial oversight, deliver sharp margin analysis, and directly support all tendering and pricing decisions to rebuild the order book safely. Cash Flow Management & Working Capital: Take full ownership of weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting. Implement aggressive working capital optimisation strategies to protect liquidity and manage supplier/subcontractor cycles tightly. Budgeting, Forecasting & Scenario Modelling: Own the annual budget and develop dynamic rolling forecasts. Execute predictive scenario modeling to guide executive decision-making as the business bids on major new frameworks. Financial Reporting & Control: Lead the monthly close process from start to finish. Prepare comprehensive management accounts, execute deep-dive variance analysis, and manage all statutory reporting requirements. Process Improvement: Actively drive system and reporting improvements. Champion technology upgrades to enhance internal financial processes and give the leadership team real-time visibility into project profitability. Audit & Compliance: Manage the external audit process seamlessly and ensure absolute compliance with all corporate taxation, legal, and regulatory requirements. Leadership: Manage, mentor, and build a high-performing, accountable finance function that can scale rapidly alongside the business's recovery. Health & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance by adhering to and ensuring strict compliance with all Health and Safety procedures within your work environment. Requirements: Qualifications: Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with 8+ years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) showing strong commercial progression. Industry Experience: Direct experience within a project-based environment (Construction, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing, or Structural Engineering) where contract cyclicality and Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting are deeply understood. Technical Mastery: A rock-solid, unquestionable understanding of project accounting, contract revenue recognition (IFRS 15), and WIP valuation. High proficiency in intermediate/advanced Excel and modern accounting systems. Mindset: A unique blend of technical assertiveness (to enforce strict financial guardrails) and a positive, energetic, \"can-do\" attitude to champion operational change. You must be someone who runs toward a commercial challenge, not away from it. To Apply: If you are looking for a role where your financial expertise will directly shape the recovery and future trajectory of an innovative Irish business, please apply with your CV today for a confidential discussion. Skills: Qualified accountant, finance manager, aca, acca
