Staff Engineer - Advanced ManufacturingContract: Permanent + full suite of benefitsLocation: Model Farm Road, CorkBusiness Area: NeurovascularWork Type: HybridPosition SummaryThe Staff Engineer will foster a culture of automation, innovation, and continuous improvement in support of the Neurovascular product portfolio. Leveraging a solid technical base, strategic thinking, and strong leadership, this role will develop and implement solutions that boost operational efficiency and elevate product quality. Success in this position requires a blend of hands-on technical skills and robust project management capabilities to guide innovative automation solutions from concept through production within a highly regulated environment.What you will do:Specifies precise new equipment functional requirements; designs, tests, and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.Designs, develops, executes, and evaluates specifications and process validation plans; creates and reviews material part specifications and bills of materials.Development and implementation of appropriate supporting documentation, SOPs, and process work instructions compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Provision of technical leadership/guidance for the Process/maintenance Technicians and other Manufacturing / Equipment Engineers on the team.Process validation for products and processes; VP, IQ, OQ, PQ, and associated documentation.Application of a prioritised approach in Value Centred Engineering toward achieving key opportunities in quality, service, and cost.Responsible for assisting in the development of a world-class manufacturing group that is proficient in process improvement and problem-solving manufacturing issues using Six-Sigma tools.Line performance monitoring, and the compilation and execution of structured event plans to remediate systemic issues that drive sub-optimal performance.What you will need:RequiredLevel 8 Honours Degree in an Engineering competency.A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a medical devices manufacturing environment.DesiredStrong communication and influencing skills with both internal and external agents.Proven Project Management skills through the delivery of business-critical projects.Capable of technical leading, influencing, and providing technical direction to stakeholders.Confident and effective decision maker, with a proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.Stryker Benefits:We are proud to offer you our comprehensive rewards package, which includes bonuses, healthcare, insurance benefits, retirement programs, wellness initiatives, and service recognition programs.This role will be posted for a minimum of 3 days.
