Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong knowledge of NEC Contracts to manage all aspects of quantity surveying across the project lifecycle, from initial procurement through to final account settlement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the quantity surveying team on-site, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

2. Oversee the preparation and management of NEC contracts, ensuring that all obligations, timelines, and milestones are adhered to.

3. Provide accurate cost estimates, budget forecasts, and financial reporting to senior stakeholders.

4. Collaborate with the project team, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to resolve any contractual and financial issues that arise.

5. Manage the preparation and submission of interim applications for payment and final accounts.

6. Monitor and mitigate risks associated with project costs, ensuring proactive solutions to any financial challenges.

7. Liaise closely with the legal and commercial teams to resolve disputes and ensure the project runs smoothly.

8. E nsure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.

Key Requirements:

9. Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or civil engineering industry.

10. Extensive experience with NEC contracts

11. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

12. Strong knowledge of construction law, contract administration, and risk management.

13. Demonstrable experience in cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting on major projects.

14. Full knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
