PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions with offices in Puerto Rico, United States, and Ireland, services the Life Sciences, F&B, and Utilities industries.
The company is looking for regular employment-based Automation Engineers for its Ireland office.
Responsibilities
Design, specify, program, and test control systems, preferably using Foxboro IA; other system experience considered (Delta V, Allen Bradley Plant PAX, Siemens PLC, SCADA, Wonderware, and HMI).
Specify, design, develop, and test industrial SCADA, DCS, and PLC-based applications, including S88 Batch, to meet customer requirements.
Integrate industrial automation/control systems and related support systems such as Data Historian, EBRs, Alarm Management, PI, etc.
Actively participate in cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to required quality standards.
Develop and execute C&Q documents and CSV deliverables such as Planning, User/Functional Requirements, Design Specifications, Design Qualification (DQ), testing development, and execution (Loop Checks, ULT, ILT, SLT) and Final Reporting.
Apply knowledge of ISA's S88 standard and pharmaceutical or biotechnology equipment and processes.
Configure and code with Foxboro I/A HLBC.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation, or Chemical).
Work Experience: 3 to 10 years of industrial automation experience.
Experience in the life sciences industry is preferred.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills applied to programming and troubleshooting of process systems.
Experience with HLBC coding on Foxboro IA.
Ability to deal well with uncertainty and pressure.
Team player who takes accountability.
Result-driven and self-motivated.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and presentation).
Organized with strong computer literacy (MS Project, Excel, etc.).
Other Requirements
Location: Cork, Ireland.
Travel: To clients, suppliers, and collaborators within Ireland.
