Compensation and Work Details
 * Salary: The full-time salary for this position is €40,000–€43,900 per annum, commensurate with experience. As this role is being offered on a four‑day week (0.8 FTE) basis, the salary will be pro‑rated accordingly.
 * Hybrid Work: We encourage hybrid working, combining remote and in‑office work in Cork City. Travel will be required from time to time in line with the needs of the role.
 * Working Hours: This role is offered at 30 hours per week. There is flexibility in how these hours are worked, subject to the needs of the organisation. Where occasional work is required outside normal hours (e.g. evenings or weekends), time off in lieu (TOIL) will be provided.
 * Start Date: January 2026

Role Purpose
The Education Pathways Officer will support the expansion of education‑focused complementary pathways in Ireland, working with communities, educational institutions, and partners to ensure successful implementation and integration of beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities
 * Contribute to the development and delivery of a national policy framework for education pathways in Ireland.
 * Lead the implementation and scaling of education complementary pathways, including community sponsorship models.
 * Identify, recruit, and support communities to provide sponsorship and integration support to pathway beneficiaries.
 * Build and manage partnerships with third‑level institutions and other stakeholders interested in complementary pathways.
 * Support the post‑arrival integration of education pathway beneficiaries in Ireland.
 * Monitor progress against agreed targets and contribute to programme evaluation.
 * Contribute to project reporting, ensuring accurate records and timely updates on activities and outcomes.
 * Assist in developing the Community Sponsorship Programme, including training, policy inputs, and public engagement.
 * Liaise and collaborate with national and EU partners; attend and contribute to coordination meetings.
 * Organise and coordinate events such as roundtables, workshops, and partner meetings.
 * Develop and contribute to training materials, promotional resources, and publicity content.
 * Support and input into transnational EU projects on community sponsorship and related initiatives.
 * Represent Nasc at national and international meetings as required.
 * Adhere to all Nasc policies and procedures.
 * Undertake other duties relevant to the role as required.
Eligibility Requirements
 * A university degree in education, human rights, international development, social policy, community development, or a related field.
 * Legal right to work in Ireland at the time of application and for the full duration of the contract.
 * Experience building and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders such as third‑level institutions, funders, community organisations, or student bodies.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and sensitively with diverse audiences.
 * Strong organisational and administrative skills, including maintaining accurate records, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
 * High attention to detail and a proactive, self‑motivated approach to problem‑solving and project delivery.
 * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small, dynamic team.
 * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
The Following Will Be Advantageous
 * Experience engaging with universities, funders, or student unions in relation to education access, sponsorship, or scholarship initiatives.
 * Knowledge of education pathways, refugee resettlement, or complementary pathways at national or EU level.
 * Experience working on transnational or EU‑funded projects, including monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on project outcomes.
 * Experience coordinating projects or events and tracking outcomes or reports.
 * Demonstrated experience working empathetically and effectively with refugees, asylum seekers, or other marginalised communities.
 * Familiarity with Irish higher education structures and student support mechanisms.
 * A full, clean driving licence valid in Ireland and access to own transport.
