a leading semi-state body, is seeking a Programme Executive – Finance to join their Corporate Services Directorate. Responsibilities:
7. Perform daily compliance checks on grants and other payments
8. Report periodically on compliance pass/fail rates and follow up with relevant stakeholders
9. Examine financial controls and governance frameworks to minimise organisational risks
10. Review and enhance controls across programmes on a regular basis
11. Maintain and update finance policies and procedure manuals in line with business needs
12. Support the management and continuous improvement of the organisation's finance systems
13. Assist with internal and external audit processes and preparation of annual financial statements
14. Provide analysis of key spend items and input into monthly management reports
15. Improve internal workflows and processes within corporate services and across the wider organisation
16. Assist the Financial Accountant as required and collaborate with other corporate functions
17. Demonstrate flexibility to work additional hours during peak activity periods to meet deadlines
Knowledge & Skills:
18. Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
19. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication
20. Confident with accounting packages and Office 365 tools
21. Understanding of governance, controls and financial risk
22. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
23. A proactive team player with strong stakeholder engagement skills
Requirements
24. Level 8 degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting + 3 years' experience
OR
Level 7 degree + 5 years' relevant experience
25. Proficient in financial systems and cross-functional finance operations
26. Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team
27. Strong grasp of governance best practices
Desirable:
28. Experience with Integra-Centros
29. Background in public sector or regulated environments
30. Accountancy body membership (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA)
31. Process improvement experience and customer service orientation
32. Interest in sustainable energy or public impact work
