Cancer Treatment Specialist
Delivering high-quality cancer treatment requires precision, dedication, and a deep understanding of radiation therapy. As a skilled Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and delivering effective treatment plans.
You will be responsible for maintaining treatment portal placement accuracy through electronic portal images and adjusting treatment fields as needed. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to explain treatment procedures to patients and families, referring medical questions to appropriate personnel when necessary.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining accurate records of treatment delivery and adjusting treatment fields according to written prescriptions and treatment plans
* Explain complex medical information to patients and families, ensuring they understand their treatment options and what to expect during the process
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans that meet individual patient needs
* Participating in quality improvement programs and contributing to the development of best practices within the department
The ideal candidate will have a formal radiation therapy technology program approved in Ireland or the EU, CORU registration, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in an environment where you can make a meaningful contribution to the care and well-being of patients.
