Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement, inventory control, and supplier management activities at their facility. This role will develop and execute procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives, ensure operational efficiency, and mitigate supply chain risk while supporting manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with corporate goals and operational plans
Lead, train, and develop the procurement and inventory control team; serve as ERP/MRP system champion
Manage supplier relationships, including vendor consolidation, contract negotiation, and supplier performance
Oversee purchasing and inventory control activities to ensure material availability, cost control, and policy compliance
Forecast material requirements based on production schedules, demand forecasts, and inventory levels
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks; develop contingency plans and secure alternate suppliers
Monitor and report key supply chain KPIs; drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
Partner closely with Operations leadership to support manufacturing efficiency and business continuity
Support sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with ISO quality, safety, and environmental standards
Key Qualifications
Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management within a manufacturing environment
Strong leadership and team development capabilities
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision making
Demonstrated success in supplier management, strategic sourcing, and inventory optimization
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
