Job Overview:
The Executive Fire Prevention Officer plays a pivotal role in the Fire Prevention Section within Dublin Fire Brigade. The primary objective is to ensure comprehensive fire safety in buildings and other structures, governed by relevant legislation.
This position requires collaboration with operational staff, administration of legislation, carrying out inspections, and providing expert advice on fire safety matters. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, strong IT proficiency, and thorough knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessment of Fire Safety Certificate applications
* Carrying out rigorous inspections to guarantee fire safety standards
* Collaboration with operational staff in Dublin Fire Brigade
* Conducting site visits at major indoor and outdoor events
* Staff management, including disciplinary actions and absenteeism control
* Contribution to strategy development, policy formulation, and function optimization
Requirements:
* Recognised degree (level 8) in engineering or architecture or equivalent qualification
* At least five years satisfactory experience in fire prevention or related field
* High standard of technical expertise
* Thorough awareness of Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations

* A current unendorsed full driving licence is required
