Academic Teacher in Physiology
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic teacher to join our team as a Lecturer in Physiology. The successful candidate will have a PhD degree or medical degree, or equivalent, in Physiology or a related discipline, and a strong teaching interest and skill set.
The role involves providing teaching, coordination, and examination of graduate entry medicine programs, and contributing to the research agenda of the department through securing funding and publishing research in high-quality publications.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to adapt and innovate teaching methods, and demonstrate an enthusiasm for their specialist teaching area. They will also be passionate about supporting students' whole development and be committed to continuous professional development.
* Teaching: Participate in the administration and delivery of the current teaching program, teach modalities, and assessment in the Graduate Entry Medicine program.
* Research: Secure funding to sustain a research group of postgraduate students and other research staff, with resultant publications in journals of high quality/impact.
* Fundraising: Foster industry-academia interactions and commercialization of research findings.
* Departmental Duties: Contribute to teaching in other undergraduate programs as required, participate in the Graduate Entry Medicine Steering Group, and other program-related committees.
