A well - established SME business in North Cork is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated finance professional to contribute to the growth and performance of a dynamic company, with strong support for professional development and career progression.
The Role:
As a Financial Accountant, you'll be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You'll play a key role in driving financial insights and helping the business operate efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management accounts and key financial reports.
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes, liaising with department heads.
* Manage VAT returns and ensure all tax obligations are met accurately and on time.
* Monitor accounts payable and receivable
* Provide analysis on business performance and cost trends.
* Assist in audit preparation and maintain strong internal financial controls.
About You:
* Qualified or qualified by experience (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
* Strong attention to detail
* Confident communicator who can collaborate across departments.
* Proficient in financial systems and Excel.
