Complex Motor Claims Handler Role
This role involves managing liability-disputed motor damage, fraud and theft claims from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough investigations using policy wordings, documentation, and third-party contact information.
* Accurately reserve, assess, and settle claims within delegated authority.
* Identify potential cases of fraud and opportunities for subrogation, referring them accordingly.
* Ensure that all claims are processed in accordance with service level agreements.
* Maintain accurate records of all claims and update relevant systems.
* Handle technical queries from junior team members.
* Participate in continuous improvement projects and internal training initiatives.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years' experience in handling motor claims within a general insurance environment.
* Strong understanding of motor claims processes and dispute resolution techniques.
* CIP qualification or working towards it is preferred.
* Proactive approach with excellent communication, documentation, and negotiation skills.
* Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of fraud protocols and best practices for reserving.
* Team player with a high degree of technical curiosity.
