Reception Officer Opportunity
We are currently seeking a dedicated Reception Officer to support the daily operations of an IPAS Centre for individuals seeking international protection.
About the Job
This is a full-time, in-person role based at our Head Office in Dundalk. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, including phone and email enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Welcoming and inducting new residents; providing ongoing welfare support
* Maintaining accurate records and preparing daily operational reports
* Ensuring compliance with HIQA and IPAS standards, including safeguarding policies
* Responding professionally to incidents and complaints
* Liaising with external services, including healthcare providers, legal aid, and social workers
* SUPPORTING community integration initiatives and promoting resident wellbeing
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
* A minimum Level 7 degree in Social Care, Social Science, or a related field
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Knowledge of HIQA standards, IPAS operations, and safeguarding procedures
* An ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
* Proficient in administrative tasks, reporting, and use of IT systems
* Experience working with diverse and/or vulnerable populations
