What You\'ll Do
The Customer Advisory Architecture Advisor (AA) works closely with SAP\'s Sales organization and the Partner ecosystem to define the account strategy. AAs work with the customer to understand their business and technical needs. They bridge the gap between the customer\'s business strategy and SAP solutions, working with customer Architects to understand the current AS-IS landscape and, in partnership with them, create To-Be business and solution architectures and an enterprise-level transformation. The AA becomes a trusted advisor to help the customer achieve their SAP-based Enterprise Architecture goals.
As an Architecture Advisor, you will focus on the following key areas:
* Account Planning & Architecture Management: Lead business and technical solution engagements with customer stakeholders, crafting the overall narrative of how to attain objectives with SAP.
* Support assessment of current customer solutions from SAP and identify opportunities for faster adoption and footprint expansion.
* Support sales cycles throughout the Customer Value Journey as an integral member of the SAP account team; identify necessary expert resources to address customer requirements.
* Drive business and IT architecture definitions to ensure consistency and alignment with SAP, customers, and partners.
* Provide a linkage from the customer to SAP product development leadership.
* Creating an SAP Architecture Vision for the Customer: Build demand through thought leadership; understand the customer\'s business process map, business model, and industry reference architecture.
* Understand the customer\'s current enterprise landscape and future needs; drive standard cloud architectures (plug & play) leveraging standard cloud solutions.
* Building Key Customer Architecture Deliverables: Business & Solution Architecture, Target State, Transformation Roadmap.
* Drive business architecture and capability mapping to high-level solution design; ensure IT feasibility of mapping to SAP solution architecture.
* Support customer cloud transformation roadmap definition (business and application focus); drive cloud/hybrid transformation with a focus on standard cloud applications and technologies.
* Being a Trusted Architecture Advisor for the Customer: Align transformation roadmap with current adoption/solution consumption; support governance and adaptation; drive solution expansion by highlighting value and linkages to the broader SAP portfolio; evangelize SAP innovation areas and strategy (e.g., AI and Data Strategy).
What You Bring
* Extensive experience within the SAP ecosystem, with a deep understanding of transforming a business with SAP, typically from a PreSales or Consulting background.
* Experience as an IT Architect or Enterprise Architect in software/IT organizations, with expertise across Solution Management, Presales, Adoption/Consumption, Consulting or Business Development, delivering outcomes over multiple years.
* Ability to represent SAP as a trusted advisor within SAP and/or the market.
* Deep knowledge of Cloud, Hosted Services, SaaS/PaaS models, and cloud-based commerce/business networks.
* Proven professional networks to drive pipeline and revenue growth for SAP; track record of success in the relevant industry area if required.
* Proven leadership and project management experience; proven experience delivering tangible outcomes in Enterprise Architecture for customers.
* A growth mindset; a commitment to continuous learning about SAP solutions and competitive solutions.
* Fluency in English with excellent presentation and communication skills; other languages are a plus.
* Education: Bachelor\'s degree (or equivalent) required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
* Design Thinking experience in customer-facing engagements is desirable; TOGAF or SAPIEA-10 certifications and experience with SAP Enterprise Architecture Methodology tools are a plus.
