We're looking for an experienced IT/OT Infrastructure Specialist to join our client's team. If you've worked in IT and/or OT (Operational Technology) environments, love hands-on infrastructure projects, and have strong troubleshooting skills - this could be for you.
Please note this is a 12 month rolling contract.
Experience in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or GMP-regulated environment would be a plus, but it's not essential.
Responsibilities:
- General Networking: Ethernet LAN & Wi-Fi networks
- Cisco Networking: Configuration, deployment, troubleshooting of Cisco LAN & Wi-Fi hardware
- Hardware Installation & Support: Servers, workstations, switches, wireless access points, NAS, thin clients, firewalls, backup systems
- Installing and managing Windows 10/11 and Windows Servers (2008-2022)
- Active Directory domain and group policy management
- Troubleshooting Windows workstations and servers
- Virtualization: Building, deploying, and managing Hyper-V virtual environments
- Installation, support, and troubleshooting of Dell servers and workstations
- Cyber Security: IT and/or OT-focused security practices
- Cabling Infrastructure: Ethernet copper and fibre networks
- Documentation: Creating clear system documents like user requirements, design specs, validation, and verification reports
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience working in IT and/or OT project and support environments
- A degree in an IT/OT-related field is an advantage - but not essential
- Experience with Networking, Cisco, Servers, Switches.
- Experience working in a Windows environment, specfically with legacy systems.
- Ideally looking for someone with Hyper-V experience.
