Job Opportunity for Baker (Confectionary)
We are seeking an experienced baker with a passion for fresh foods to join our dynamic team. As a baker, you will be responsible for preparing cakes and pastries for our in-store fresh foods range.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Baker in the day-to-day running of our busy in-store bakery department
* Bake novelty, birthday, and celebration cakes as a priority
* Bake breads and small cakes
* Perform HACCP duties
* Prepare food for customers
* Develop new menu items and products
* Manage waste effectively
* Provide excellent customer service at all times
Requirements
* At least 2-3 years of experience as a baker (preferably in a high-volume bakery)
* Ability to make novelty cakes
* Ability to make birthday and celebration cakes
* Must be HACCP trained
* Fluent in English both written and spoken
* Enthusiastic about the bakery department
* Ability to multitask and help out where needed
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
* Availability for early starts and late finishes (if required)
