Purpose of Role
LPI Group's two‑year training programme is designed to develop and support successful applicants as they prepare to forge a career in the industry. Through a carefully‑crafted training plan and structured support every step of the way, the programme leads you along a journey of growth, learning and real‑world experiences, ultimately resulting in valuable knowledge and skills. By the end of the programme, participants will be capable of designing complex systems and leading aspects of project design.
Year 1 Overview
- Completion of BSEN 62305 accreditation course – becoming fully certified
- Full support regarding college course
- Flexible working options
- Weekly/bi‑weekly review calls to discuss progress, answer any questions and ensure open communication
- Continuous feedback on tasks and learning progress
- Access to industry professionals for mentorship and networking opportunities
- Attendance at team meetings to stay aligned with real‑world application and ongoing projects
- Support in preparing a comprehensive design document for a small‑scale project, ensuring all safety and compliance criteria are met
Year 2 Overview
- Ongoing learning support through Propster Surge Course over 10 days in Germany
- Assigned real‑world projects involving larger, more complex designs
- Start contributing to project planning, focusing on BSEN 62305 compliance, risk assessments, and design development
- Shadow senior engineers in decision‑making and design reviews
- Take on responsibility for certain project aspects, contributing significantly to design documents and reports
- Learn to lead a small lightning protection design project: manage the project timeline, task allocation, and design development
- Complete an advanced project – demonstrating capability of designing complex systems, and leading aspects of project design
