Automation Systems Engineer
About the Role:
A biotech manufacturing facility requires an experienced Automation Systems Engineer to oversee the design, installation, configuration and testing of data historian systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the implementation of OSI PI, Alarm Management System and Alarm Notification System.
* Ensure seamless integration with existing site infrastructure.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for robust data solutions.
* Manage servers, operating systems, security tools and applications.
* Support system commissioning and qualification activities.
* Provide regular status updates to ensure alignment and transparency.
* Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Science.
* Minimum 10 years' experience in OSI PI Data Historian.
* Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet IP.
* Experience with remote I/O and instrumentation.
* Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards including GAMP, S-88 Batch Standard and 21 CFR Part 11.
* Ability to work efficiently individually and as part of a team.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
