Your new company is involved in the construction and maintenance of roads across Ireland. They are now seeking to recruit a Quality/Environment and Performance Manager. The role is based in Ennis.
The Quality/Environmental Manager will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the existing Quality and Environmental systems, including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, and targeting 55001 Asset Management. Responsibilities include monthly reporting, preparing project quality packs, managing testing and inspection records for various projects, and implementing sustainability initiatives such as transport decarbonisation, solar projects, LED upgrades, and biodiversity trials.
Your role will include:
1. Managing and maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS).
2. Collaborating with the Safety Manager and other departments to ensure processes align with IMS.
3. Maintaining current ISO standards and working towards new certifications like 55001 and Carbon Ladder.
4. Incorporating Quality, Environmental, and Energy Management into decision-making.
5. Preparing and submitting monthly and yearly reports to clients.
6. Overseeing data collection, documentation, and certification processes.
7. Reviewing plans, procedures, and risk assessments as needed.
8. Conducting management reviews and updating objectives and risks annually.
9. Developing performance measurement tools for projects and processes.
10. Preparing quality submissions for construction or renewal projects.
11. Developing testing protocols with subcontractors.
12. Monitoring and managing testing, inspection, and as-built documentation.
13. Ensuring operations comply with environmental legislation and standards.
14. Maintaining energy and carbon records and producing annual energy reports.
15. Managing waste records and developing waste management plans for large projects.
16. Collaborating with the Sustainability Champion on carbon reduction and biodiversity projects.
Qualifications:
* Level eight qualification recognized by HETEC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* Membership of recognized industry bodies such as Engineers Ireland or Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation.
Experience:
* Experience in road network maintenance contracts or similar projects.
* Managerial experience in Quality Systems.
* Experience in Data Management and Environmental Controls.
Knowledge:
* Knowledge of TII road standards and specifications.
* High computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Safety training standards relevant to the role (PSCS and PSDP).
