About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, supervising and supporting junior staff, and helping to plan menus and daily specials.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for great food and customer satisfaction, with strong leadership and communication skills. They will also have excellent knowledge of HACCP and kitchen safety standards, and the ability to work well under pressure.
* Job Description: Assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
* Supervise and Support Junior Staff: Help supervise and support junior kitchen staff in their roles
* Maintenance of Kitchen Standards: Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation are always at a high standard
* Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role (minimum 2 years preferred)
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills
* Culinary Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of HACCP and kitchen safety standards
* Pressure Management: Ability to work well under pressure
