Job Title:
Achieving Excellence in Respiratory Care

The role we are seeking to fill is that of a senior-level respiratory physiologist. This position will involve leading a team of professionals in the diagnosis and management of respiratory disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the department by providing strategic, operational and clinical leadership which results in the delivery of effective, efficient and patient centered respiratory service.
* Lead, manage and motivate the respiratory team, ensuring optimum and effective use of staff and delegating responsibility and accountability as appropriate.
* Utilise advanced skills in patient assessment and undertake appropriate clinical decisions and actions referring to respiratory consultants/RMOs, as appropriate.
* Engage with respiratory clinical lead for the delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
* Develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care, and set and monitor standards of practice.
* Advise on equipment selection, purchase, replacement and upgrading.
* Keep the operational delivery officer, respiratory consultants and appropriate heads of department appraised of any significant development within your area of responsibility.
Requirements:
* BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology or equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS).
* Certificate in Medical Physics & Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology or an equivalent scientific qualification as confirmed by the IICMS awarded in or before 2005.
* Minimum of 5 years full-time (or an aggregate of 5 years full-time) relevant post-qualification experience.
