About the Role
As an Early Years Educator, you will be responsible for creating a safe and stimulating environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:
* You will work closely with the team to ensure high standards of quality and safety in the childcare setting.
* Act as a key worker to specified children, providing individualized care and support.
* Plan and implement daily developmental activities that enhance children's natural growth and development.
* Maintain high standards of quality and safety in the Crèche.
* Guide, observe, stimulate, and supervise children in a safe and caring environment.
Caring for Children
* Be attentive to the children in your care, dealing with issues promptly and professionally.
* Communicate effectively with children at their level, providing personal care as needed.
* Carry out planned and unplanned observations to inform child-centered practice.
* Encourage good eating habits and promote healthy lifestyles.
Professional Development
* Participate in first aid training, fire safety, and manual handling courses as required.
* Undertake additional training if requested by the Manager to enhance professional development.
* Attend staff meetings and contribute to discussions on childcare and education.
Requirements
* FETAC Level 6 Childcare qualification or equivalent.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and non-verbal.
* A strong desire to work with children in an early-years setting and a commitment to child-centered care.
* Flexibility to meet the needs of the organisation and adapt to changing circumstances.
* Fluency in both spoken and written English.
* Garda vetting clearance.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 1 year's previous experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
* Working knowledge of Aistear & Síolta programme.
* First Aid skills/training.
* Level 8 qualification in Early Childhood, Teaching and Learning.
