INFORM3 RECRUITMENT Pre-Construction Engineer
Location: Louth
Sector: Civil INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Pre-Construction Engineer for civils projects in Louth, mainly office based with site visits. This role is central to the analysis, planning, and coordination of all aspects of the pre-construction phase—from technical review through to mobilisation.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering or construction and will possess excellent technical, communication, and organisational skills. Pre-Construction Engineer Job Requirements: Analyse and interpret complex landscape designs, specifications, and construction drawingsIdentify potential constructability issues, risks, design conflicts, and compliance/scope gapsCollaborate with internal design, commercial, and delivery teams to propose practical solutionsLead the preparation of comprehensive pre-construction plans and documentsCoordinate technical documentation, detailing, and value engineering exercisesAssist with the preparation of preliminary construction programmes and phasing strategiesLiaise with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is achievable and cost-effectiveProvide timely feedback and support to estimators and project managers on buildability, sequencing, and resourcing mattersPrepare and deliver concise technical reports, reviews, and briefings to project stakeholdersAssist project team in planning material requirements, lead times, and delivery strategies in alignment with the construction programmeSupport procurement teams by identifying specialist materials and systems required for landscape constructionSupport ongoing construction projects by attending site reviews and monitoring implementation of pre-construction plansAssist team in preparation of project handovers by reviewing technical records, as-builts, and operation manualsPre-Construction Engineer Job Specification: Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, Construction Management, or related field3+ years' experience in landscape construction, engineering, or design coordinationProven work on commercial, public realm, or large-scale residential projectsStrong knowledge of landscape methods, detailing, and sequencingProficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and document control platformsSkilled in interpreting drawings, specifications, and contract documentsExcellent coordination, problem-solving, and communicationDetail-oriented with ability to manage competing priorities under pressureFull Driving LicenseThis client appreciates the value of hard work, professional working practices and high standards and in return can offer an excellent overall package to the right person.
