Assistant Librarian II
We are seeking an Assistant Librarian with designated responsibility for collection management and resource description within the Library, appointed at the Assistant Librarian II level. The role contributes to the effective organization, development, and discoverability of the Library’s collections.
Responsibilities
Strategic management of collections.
Development and maintenance of high‑quality metadata, ensuring resources are accessible, well‑described, and relevant to the University’s curricular and research priorities.
Collection management and resource description.
Participation in library‑wide initiatives and service development.
Engagement with evolving professional standards, technologies, and best practice in the library and information sector.
Participation in cross‑functional teams and projects in support of library and university strategic goals.
Qualifications
Technical expertise in library systems and information management.
Analytical skills, attention to detail, and a service‑oriented approach.
Interest in engaging with evolving professional standards, technologies, and best practice.
Salary
Assistant Librarian – Grade II (2026): €46,292 – €64,945 p.a. (9 points)
