Role Overview
The Global Lending Support (GLS) team has been established to support the entire ING Wholesale Banking network.
As the Gateway Lead you will provide overall support to 25 ING Wholesale Banking locations, ensuring seamless integration between GLS and the services recipients and various internal teams (Tribe Lending, ODCR, Non-Financial Risk, CAS, Finance, etc.).
This role offers a good opportunity to gain insights into intra-group contracting & service management, including sourcing, risk assessment, governance, delivery, service management, charging, business continuity, contingency planning and service reviews.
Responsibilities
Act as the linking pin between service providers and recipients across ING Wholesale Banking locations.
Ensure service is managed well and complies with ING sourcing policies and EBA guidelines.
Take sole responsibility for running service review meetings – scheduling, PowerPoint preparation, minutes, action points, service performance and upload in theICSPortal.
Perform Risk & Control Self-Assessment for onboarding new tasks and projects and Transfer Impact Assessment when needed; obtain ODCR & 2nd line's approval.
Proactively identify risk events and act on escalated risks – engage with business, ODCR and control functions on remediation actions.
Deliver GLS service consistently and regularly to recipients; test business continuity and contingency plans, identify deviations and improve plans.
Remain updated on events that could disrupt GLS service delivery.
Assist the global head of GLS in resource allocation across teams and associated recharging.
Engage with ODCR for Quality Assurance testing as recommended by control functions.
Ensure GLS support follows established governance and service SLAs.
Deliver an InControl Statement on the services delivered to recipients.
Provide required support to internal auditors and external regulatory representatives as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Administration, Compliance, Non-Financial Risk or Management).
5+years of corporate work experience, preferably in financial services, sourcing & contracting, account/service management or a related area.
Good understanding of international banking or a centralised service function.
Strong organisation, scheduling and attention to detail.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Ability to communicate across multiple lines of business and develop an internal network.
Efficient time management and methodical approach to handling multiple tasks.
Energetic, self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
High resilience, ability to handle ambiguity and manage complexity.
Strong IT skills – especially PowerPoint.
