Financial Controller (Maternity Cover), Dublin 6 Reporting to: Finance Director Working Pattern: Hybrid 3 days office based (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday). ROLE OVERVIEW: Our client is seeking a highly commercial and results driven Financial Controller to join the team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a key role within the business, responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution requiring strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and an unwavering focus on delivering outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director and wider leadership team, providing financial insight, driving process improvements, and ensuring strong financial control in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the companys financial reporting, ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual results Finance Operations Oversee AP, AR, and core accounting processes Stakeholder Engagement Partner with and support senior leadership and cross-functional teams across the business Produce insightful management reports and dashboards for decision-making Support pricing, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning Monitor KPIs, identify risks, and recommend actions to improve performance Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop two direct reports Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting, and automation Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements Maintain strong financial controls, governance, and audit readiness Requirements: Qualified accountant (with 5 yrs post qualified), industry experience preferable 5+ years experience in a senior finance leadership role Strong background in financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting Proven ability to partner with senior leadership and influence decision-making Exceptionally motivated, proactive, and accountable, with the ability to work at pace while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.
