Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM)Location: Malahide Road, Dublin 3 Contract: Full-time / Permanent We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) to join our dedicated nursing team.
This is a key leadership role, supporting the Director of Nursing in maintaining the highest standards of clinical care, governance, and staff development within the home.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Practice Ensure all home policies and best clinical standards are consistently upheld.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to maintain and improve care standards.
Review residents' clinical care, assessments, and documentation to ensure appropriate care plans are in place.
Manage and elevate clinical and non-clinical issues to the Director of Nursing as required.
Carry out comprehensive resident assessments and oversee ongoing evaluation and care plan modifications.
Medication Management Supervise medication administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Order monthly medication stock and maintain accurate inventory records.
Review medication audits and work with senior management to improve standards.
Liaise with GPs and pharmacies regarding medication reviews and audits.
Staff Supervision & Training Act as a visible, supportive leader to Staff Nurses and Care Assistants.
Participate in training, development, and performance appraisals in collaboration with senior management.
Promote a professional, compassionate approach to resident care.
Oversee the Named Nurse and Named Care Assistant system and monitor its effectiveness.
Identify training needs and support the delivery of mandatory training, including infection control, palliative care, and managing challenging behaviour.
Auditing & Quality Assurance Review new admissions to ensure care assessments, planning, and evaluations are accurately documented.
Monitor cleanliness, hygiene standards, and effective communication across teams.
Ensure regular environmental, hand hygiene, medication, health & safety, and risk audits are completed and actioned.
Audit V-Care and Vi Clarity documentation and address issues with relevant staff.
Act as a key point of contact for residents and families, managing concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
Management & Leadership Support senior management and deputise during periods of annual leave.
Assist with daily operational activities, including rosters, handovers, and reviewing resident progress.
Promote a hands‑on approach to developing clinical practice across the team.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies to safeguard staff, residents, and visitors.
Candidate Requirements Registered Nurse with active NMBI registration.
Previous experience in a senior nursing or leadership role (CNM experience desirable).
Strong clinical knowledge and excellent organisational skills.
Proven ability to lead, support, and develop nursing and care teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
