Job Title: Head of Credit Operations
This role is for a seasoned credit professional to lead a team in managing customer relationships, optimizing cash flow and minimizing bad debt.
About the Role:
* Monitor, approve and review credit terms for new and existing accounts to ensure timely payments and reduce financial risk.
* Negotiate new customer agreements, including deposits, securities and insurance coverage.
* Develop and maintain the company's provision policy to minimize losses.
* Approve requests for monthly or weekly bad debt write-offs.
* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
* Provide regular performance reports to stakeholders.
* Conduct unallocated cash reviews and implement strategies to reduce outstanding amounts.
* Oversee the month-end statement runs to ensure timely processing.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholder concerns.
About You:
* 8+ years of experience in credit control with 4+ years of management experience leading teams of 5 or more.
* Strong client relationship management skills.
* Experience in projects such as reducing days sales outstanding, arrears management and dormant account recovery.
