Based in Waterford and reporting to the R&D Senior Manager, the NPI Project Manager is a critical strategic role within Repligen, driving innovation and leading new technology development initiatives.
This position focuses on the conception, development, and implementation of new products, primarily turn-key, single-use bioprocessing equipment.
You'll be part of a cross-functional team of 6 highly motivated and collaborative colleagues across Europe.
ResponsibilitiesA key responsibility of the role is serving as the central coordination point between diverse interdepartmental stakeholders.
This includes collaboration with Product Management, Engineering & R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, After Sales, Quality & Documentation, and Commercial & Sales teams.
Lead, empower, motivate, and guide teams in multiple & various new product development projects through the entire lifecycle, including Iterative Design phases, Prototype Manufacturing, Prototype Testing, Documentation Creation & Technical Transfer to Serial Production.Prepare product development project schedules / roadmaps (using Smartsheet) and manage daily activities with task lists (Trello boards), keeping these up to date.Prepare cost calculations and budgets for various new products and keep these current.Manage changes and change requirements during the product development process, keeping project team members & steering committee updated regarding changes.Organize the work of the project team, assign tasks, and ensure accountability.
Support and solve problems hindering task completion.Arrange and lead project meetings (Kick-off, Weekly and Daily SCRUM, Steering Committee, Design Review).Coordinate prototype building, testing, and documentation activities.Oversee new product documentation creation (User Manuals, Certifications, Technical Specifications, Testing Protocols).Prepare reports and dashboards for the project steering committee.Manage technical transfer and new product implementation to serial manufacturing.Proactively address technical and commercial challenges.Develop the New Product Development & Change Control processes for custom and standard products.Communicate with the steering committee, management, and foster trusting relationships.QualificationsThe successful NPI Project Manager should have:
A university degree (preferably in Engineering) and at least 5 years of experience managing product development projects in international settings, especially with industrial equipment.A good understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles & processes.Knowledge of project management principles & methodologies, including Traditional & Agile approaches.Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.Comfort working in dynamic environments and managing change.Leadership and coaching skills to guide project teams, with strong communication abilities.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.Proficiency with 3D CAD tools for viewing technical details.Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.Flexibility to work outside normal hours due to time zone differences.Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe, Asia, and the US.What Repligen OffersRepligen offers a competitive remuneration package, including a yearly bonus, private medical insurance, and flexible working hours.
