Clinical Litigation Solicitor – 12 Month FTC, Dublin
A rare opportunity has arisen for a qualified solicitor to join a leading public sector body within its clinical litigation unit on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is an excellent role for a litigation solicitor with strong experience in healthcare-related personal injury matters who is interested in working on complex and high-profile litigation in the public interest. Ideally you will have experience with catastrophic cases/cerebral palsy cases but this is not a pre-requisite.
As Clinical Litigation Solicitor, you will manage a portfolio of clinical negligence claims and/or inquest files. You will act in the best interests of the State and the public while ensuring fair and ethical handling of litigation. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers, contributing to broader risk and claims management strategies.
The role:
* Managing a caseload of clinical negligence and/or inquest matters
* Advising on relevant legal issues and strategy
* Engaging effectively with stakeholders across the health and public sectors
* Supporting the Head of Clinical Litigation as required
You :
* Qualified solicitor eligible to practise in Ireland
* Minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience in clinical negligence or personal injury litigation
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, case law and court procedures
* Experience with the public health sector is an advantage
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Team player with a collaborative approach and strong organisational skills
