Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client are currently seeking an experienced Senior ICT Project Manager. This role is based in Tallaght, Dublin and will be working on a hybrid model with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote once agreed with your manager. This is a temporary position with the initial contract being 6 months with the potential to be extended thereafter. The standard daily work schedule is 9am to 5pm, consisting of 7 working hours per day (35 hours per week), however, a requirement for flexibility in relation to working hours may arise should there be any urgent service needs. The daily rate of pay is €595.82 (annual leave is built into the daily rate) and paid Bank Holidays. Key responsibilities: Lead end-to-end delivery of ICT/EHR-related projects (e.g., upgrades, migrations/transitions, implementations and integrations) supporting the programme. Own project governance: scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) and reporting to programme leadership. Manage procurement and vendor engagement (contracting, planning, delivery oversight, issue resolution and escalation). Drive requirements gathering and feasibility/selection activities; translate clinical/operational needs into deliverable plans. Coordinate internal and external resources across multiple workstreams (clinical, operations, ICT, PMO and shared services) to deliver to plan. Plan and oversee testing, training and go-live readiness; support smooth transition to operations, including documentation and handover to sustainable support models. Lead stakeholder communications and change readiness activities to support adoption and benefits realisation. Qualifications, Skills, Competencies and/or Knowledge: Third-level degree/postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics or related healthcare discipline) and at least 3 years post-qualification experience in a similar role, or a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience. Proven delivery experience managing complex ICT/application projects across the full lifecycle. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present to groups and influence across multidisciplinary teams. Strong planning, documentation and attention to detail, including process and procedure development. Desirable: Track record delivering large-scale or complex programmes, ideally within a hospital/healthcare setting. Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent). Experience with clinical workflows and complex integrations (e.g., laboratory, medical imaging, cardiology, dietetics), and/or enterprise data migration/consolidation. Understanding of data quality, clinical safety, information governance and information security. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, changing environment while managing multiple concurrent projects.
