Practice Nurse Galway
Location: County Galway
Position: GP Practice Nurse (Experienced ideally)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time (flexible – to be discussed)
We are currently seeking an experienced GP Practice Nurse to join a well-established and supportive GP practice in County Galway. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse who enjoys working in primary care and values patient-centred practice in a friendly, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cervical screening / smear taking
2. Immunisations and vaccinations
3. Wound care and dressings
4. Health promotion and patient education
5. Phlebotomy and ECGs
6. Supporting GPs with day-to-day clinical care
7. General Practice Nurse duties within a busy GP surgery
Requirements
8. Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI registration
9. Previous GP Practice Nurse experience ideally
10. Proven experience in smear taking / cervical screening
11. Strong clinical and organisational skills
12. Excellent communication and patient-care skills
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
