The four-star Shearwater Hotel & Spa is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Leisure Centre Manager to lead our dynamic Leisure team. Role Overview
The Leisure Centre Manager will oversee the efficient and effective operation of the Leisure Centre, ensuring a high standard of customer care, team leadership, and facility management. This role involves close collaboration with the General Manager and other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the highest standards of presentation and hygiene across all areas of the Leisure Centre.
* Promote a positive and professional working environment within the team.
* Provide strong leadership, ensuring all team members follow hotel policies relating to customer service, uniform standards, and operational procedures.
* Communicate clear operating standards and ensure consistent implementation across the department.
* Deliver outstanding customer service to all guests and members.
* Monitor and manage stock control procedures efficiently.
* Actively promote and support membership sales, ensuring all enquiries are handled promptly and in line with sales targets.
* Organise and lead regular team meetings and training sessions.
* Develop and manage a calendar of events, encouraging member engagement and participation.
* Implement and maintain accurate systems for monitoring memberships, usage, and renewals.
* Encourage guest feedback and lead improvements based on suggestions and insights.
* Collaborate with senior management to meet monthly performance targets.
* Oversee departmental budgets and monitor overheads to ensure financial targets are achieved.
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations within the Leisure Centre.
* Take on additional duties as required by the Hotel Manager.
* Proactively seek opportunities for personal and professional development.

Candidate Requirements
Applicants must hold the following qualifications and experience:
* A nationally recognised Fitness Instructor qualification (e.g., NCEF, ITEC, NCEHS)
* In-date Occupational First Aid qualification with AED certification
* Pool Plant Room certification and previous experience managing a plant room
* Valid Lifeguard qualification
