Product and Process Engineer – Grid Automation – NPI
Working with a global leader in electronic design and manufacturing, this role will offer you the opportunity to project manage the development of new systems for the extensive product range related to grid automation. The products for this company are related the renewable energy sector and enable the implementation of smart grid applications along with substation and distribution automation.
As a result of these large programs in the renewable energy sector, our client is currently looking to recruit a Product and Process Engineer to help develop automated products for manufacture.
About the Position
Working within the operations, production and quality departments, this position primarily involves the support of products for manufacture and new product introduction (NPI). This is done in accordance with defined test procedures and customer specific hardware and software requirements.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will
Ensure delivery of quality product to the end customer in a timely manner.
NPI – work closely with hardware and software groups on the successful and timely introduction of new products.
Assist in component verification and validation.
Manage product validation and certification.
Development of production test equipment
Responsible for failure analysis
Determine root cause and drive and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Identify and drive product and process quality and cost improvements.
Process non-conforming product and document same.
Assist in the decision-making process related to new products with regard to manufacturability.
Provide support to contract manufacturer, helping to ensure delivery of quality product.
Maintain records for all products
Receive, document, analyse and process RMA products in a timely manner.
Maintain records for all products including test results and quality inspections.
For this role you will have
Degree in electronic/computer engineering or equivalent
Autocad, fusion 360 or other design tools.
NPI Experience
Competency in Microsoft tools, Word, Excel, Project etc.
Experience in a production/quality/test/RMA environment
Remuneration Package
