We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our organization in Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work on large projects in the pharmaceutical, industrial, and data centre sectors.
About the Role
As a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for preparing and conducting cost plans, tender documentation, feasibility studies, and pre-tender estimates. You will also provide advice on overall procurement and contract strategies and implement them. Additionally, you will attend client, site, and design team meetings throughout the life of each project and actively contribute at these meetings.
Key Responsibilities
* Cost Planning: Prepare and conduct cost plans, tender documentation, feasibility studies, and pre-tender estimates.
* Procurement Strategies: Provide advice on overall procurement and contract strategies and implement them.
* Project Meetings: Attend client, site, and design team meetings throughout the life of each project and actively contribute at these meetings.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:
* Education: A 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics is essential.
* Technical Background: A strong technical background in contracting is required for this role.
* Experience: A minimum of 3+ years experience working as a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor in the UK, Mainland Europe, or Ireland is necessary.
* Skill Set: Good presentation and general management skills are required, along with the ability to multi-task and take an overview on a large number of projects at any time.
