About the Role Our client is a growing technology company in the healthcare sector, providing AI-driven solutions that improve clinical documentation and operational efficiency. They are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their engineering team and take ownership of their cloud infrastructure and platform engineering function. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with broad scope across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platform management, security, and automation. You will work closely with development, security, and integration teams, and have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers. Key Responsibilities Cloud & Kubernetes Platform Design, operate, and optimise AWS-based infrastructure across multiple environments and regions Manage Amazon EKS clusters including node provisioning (Karpenter), pod autoscaling (KEDA), and GitOps deployments Plan and execute cluster and service upgrades, migrations, and resiliency improvements Implement and maintain scalable networking components including ALBs, WAFs, VPCs, TGWs, and S2S VPNs Automation & CI/CD Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Manage ArgoCD GitOps workflows, application synchronisation, and environment promotions Use CloudFormation, Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes manifests to standardise deployments and enable engineering self-service Drive automation to reduce manual intervention, improve reliability, and accelerate delivery Observability & Monitoring Centralise monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and logging pipelines Build and maintain dashboards for real-time visibility across multiple clusters and regions Configure proactive alerting to detect and respond to issues efficiently Security, Compliance & Governance Manage AWS security tooling including WAF, IAM, GuardDuty, and Security Hub Ensure compliance with AWS best practices, cloud security standards, and regulatory controls Automate security auditing, configuration scanning, and compliance reporting Cost Optimisation & FinOps Monitor and optimise AWS spend across accounts using FinOps practices Identify and mitigate cost inefficiencies in collaboration with engineering teams Provide cost insights and reporting to Finance and Leadership Operations, Reliability & Incident Management Implement backup, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies to improve platform resilience Participate in incident response, troubleshoot critical issues, and drive service restoration Troubleshoot complex performance, scaling, and networking issues in Kubernetes environments Collaboration & Leadership Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong DevOps culture Collaborate across Development, Security, and Integrations teams Lead technical discussions and champion modern platform engineering practices Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Specialty) Deep expertise with AWS services: EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, ALB, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS Strong experience managing production Kubernetes environments Hands-on experience with Karpenter, KEDA, and ArgoCD/GitOps workflows Solid knowledge of containerisation with Docker and Helm Proficiency with CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent IaC frameworks Experience with EKS cluster upgrades and blue/green migration strategies Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, networking, and distributed systems CI/CD experience, ideally with GitHub Actions Monitoring and observability experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch Understanding of cloud security, compliance, and least-privilege access models Nice to Have Background in healthcare, regulated environments, or multi-region deployments Experience with FinOps cost management tools and practices Knowledge of Argo Workflows, N8N, or event-driven architectures Familiarity with multi-account AWS Organizations and landing zone setups To find out more about this opportunity or to apply, please contact us for full details Reperio Human Capital acts as an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.
