Job Opportunity: Counselling in Primary Care
We are seeking experienced counsellors/therapists to provide sessional work with our Counselling in Primary Care (CIPC) service. The CIPC provides short-term counselling in primary care settings to medical card holders aged 18 and over.
About the Role
The successful candidates will be working with a team of professionally qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, and psychologists under the governance of the HSE Directors of Counselling.
* Provide short-term counselling in primary care settings to medical card holders aged 18 and over;
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with other healthcare professionals;
* Be able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
* Hold a recognised Level 7 qualification (QQI) in a relevant human science discipline or equivalent in a health and social care or health-related profession;
* Have full accredited membership with IACP, IABCP, or a relevant body within ICP, or hold a degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy recognised by these bodies;
* Have a minimum of two years' relevant post-qualification experience;
* Pass a selection process.
