Job Description

We are looking for an Unreal CG Asset Lead to join our team here at our Dublin studio. The successful candidate will lead the planning and execution of CG assets for the designated project, leveraging expertise in Unreal Engine to drive innovation and efficiency across the pipeline.
This is a Fixed-Term, 12-Month contract based in Dublin.
Please note that our studio operates on a hybrid model, with two days per week required in the studio.
The successful candidate must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and innovate in the development of CG assets, with a strong focus on Unreal Engine-based workflows and optimization.
Actively contribute hands-on to asset creation, ensuring best practices in Unreal Engine.
Collaborate with CG Supervisor and Production Management to design and implement advanced asset build strategies.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to Unreal Engine integration and asset performance.
Approve and maintain technical documentation, including 'Asset Launch Notes' and technical 'Call-Outs' via Shotgun.
Manage and prioritize technical production tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
QC and publish assets to maintain pipeline integrity and performance standards.
Mentor and upskill team members in Unreal Engine best practices and studio-specific workflows.
Key Requirements
Knowledge:
* Expert-level understanding of CG asset build pipelines and Unreal Engine integration.
* Ability to troubleshoot and optimize assets for real-time rendering and animation phases.
Experience:
* Have previously been a Lead or similar experience supervising assets on a long format, VFX, Game development or animation project or feature film.
* Extensive experience in CG asset creation and Unreal Engine-based shot production.
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams and implement advanced technical solutions.
Technical Skills:
* Unreal Engine mastery: advanced knowledge of real-time rendering, performance optimization, and pipeline integration.
* Strong proficiency in Maya, Substance Painter, ZBrush, Houdini, and Photoshop.
* Ability to use Autodesk's Shotgrid effectively in production.
* Familiarity with RV media player and real-time review workflows
