Ive partnered with a well-established consultancy in Ireland to help them find an experienced environmental scientist.

This role will suit an ambitious environmental scientist who enjoys taking ownership of projects and working across a diverse portfolio of large-scale developments.
Projects: Large-scale wind farm and solar energy projects (including offshore) Waste-to-energy and manufacturing developments Large-scale residential developments across Galway and Dublin Role: Work closely with the Environmental Team on a variety of EIAR and planning projects Manage and oversee projects day-to-day, including fee agreements, invoicing, and meeting client expectations Take full ownership of projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines, quality, and profitability are achieved Oversee and mentor junior team members and sub-consultants to deliver high-quality outputs Report regularly to the Environmental Team Director and provide updates to clients Support business development through proposals, opportunity spotting, and helping grow the project pipeline As a senior environmental scientist, you will play a key role in project delivery while helping to shape the future growth of the team.
Requirements: Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field 5+ years post-graduate experience in a consultancy environment Strong experience delivering EIARs and a solid understanding of the associated methodologies Proven track record working on large-scale projects, ideally within renewables (wind/solar preferred) Excellent understanding of the Irish planning system Broad technical knowledge across civil engineering, construction management, ecology, hydrology/hydrogeology, noise, air, traffic, geotechnical, and other EIAR subject areas Salary & Benefits: €50k €65k DOE Hybrid working model Pension contribution CPD training and upskilling opportunities Flexitime and flexible working arrangements Ability to transition internally into other teams (Ecology, Planning, etc.) Strong career progression potential If youre an experienced environmental scientist looking for your next career move, apply today or email a copy of your most recent CV to .
