Job Title: Youth Development Specialist

This is a dynamic opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Youth Development Specialist. In this role, you will work with children and young people aged between 13 and 17 years, providing a safe and supportive environment that encourages positive relationships and personal growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering trauma-informed care and will be passionate about helping young people reach their full potential. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement Care and Placement Plans, ensuring the needs of each child are met in a holistic way.
A key aspect of this role is promoting the rights and responsibilities of each young person, encouraging attendance at school and other activities, and supporting them in making informed decisions about their lives. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement Care and Placement Plans that meet the unique needs of each child
* Promote the rights and responsibilities of each young person, encouraging autonomy and self-advocacy
* Support attendance at school, training centers, medical and clinical appointments, and other activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being
* Collaborate with parents, families, and other agencies to ensure the needs of each child are met
* Engage in age-appropriate play and activities that promote social skills and emotional intelligence
* Maintain accurate records and report progress to relevant stakeholders
* Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines that support the delivery of high-quality care

Requirements:
* Registration in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by CORU or eligibility for registration
* Requisite knowledge and ability for proper discharge of duties, including a high standard of suitability and ability
