Our Purpose
In our Operational Excellence Department at Medtronic, plc, we support Product Value streams to meet customer and patient needs daily. Our focus is on delivering and maintaining high-maturity improvement processes through our Medtronic Performance System (MPS) and ensuring high-quality performance within our teams. The Process Engineer I contributes to our mission to improve human welfare by manufacturing products that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.

Responsibilities
* Support deployment and coaching of the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) across the Parkmore site within specific business areas.
* Plan, perform, and implement process improvement initiatives such as Lean or Six Sigma.
* Diagram and evaluate existing processes.
* Organize, lead, and facilitate cross-functional project teams.
* Develop metrics to measure processes and identify improvement opportunities.
* Collect data to identify root causes of problems.
* Measure performance against process requirements.
* Align improvements with performance shortfalls.
* Provide consultation on re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
* Deliver presentations and training on measurement, analysis, improvement, and control.
* Survey and analyze best practices for techniques and processes.
* Communicate team progress.
* Perform cost-benefit analyses.
Key Skills & Experience
* Minimum Level 7 Degree with 0-1 year of manufacturing experience, with exposure to lean and six sigma techniques.
* Proficiency in tools like Value Stream Mapping, Work Method Analysis, DMAIC, 5Whys, 5S, 8Wastes, Standard Work Creation, Line Balancing, and other lean/six sigma tools.
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
* Ability to perform cost/benefit analysis in labor and material.
* Analytical skills for inventory reduction opportunities.
