As we expand our Production Kitchen team at The Tram Cafe, we're excited to welcome a dedicated Junior Kitchen Porter for (6am – 2pm) and (12pm-8pm) availability.
The Junior Kitchen Porter is responsible for-
Washing and drying dishes from kitchen and put it away at the correct places provided.
Unloading goods from deliveries and put away on the correct location, while rotating stock so older produce is used first.
Collecting and washing up dishes from cafe shops, checking it every 2 hours at the crate room.
Cleaning, sanitising and drying crates daily.
Ensuring the chemical room, mop room and laundry remains cleaned organised.
Maintaining laundry service running during the shift: washing and drying.
Contact the supervisor or Manager in case cleaning products needs to be ordered.
Monitoring dishwasher and ensuring you are using correctly.
This machine must be cleaned at the end of every shift.
Recording the dishwasher temperature on HACCP sheets provided.
(reporting to kitchen manager when temperature is not correct – 82 degrees)
Washing and sanitising equipment's, trolleys, fridges properly using the correct cleaning chemicals.
Carrying out deep clean tasks weekly and ensuring the weekly cleaning checklist is completed.
Checking bins are emptied multiple times a day and ensuring the bin area is kept cleaned.
Cardboard must be also kept organised and flattened.
Communicating anything that may occur during the shift; equipment breakdown, issues in kitchen porter area etc. to either the Kitchen Manager or the Assistant Kitchen Manager to address the problem.
Working well with others on the team and helping each other to get tasks completed.
Presenting yourself in a clean and presentable manner.
Adhering to company policies and health & food safety guidelines.
Any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Supervisor or Kitchen Manager.
