Our Client:Our client is a leading organisation responsible for operating critical national infrastructure, delivering secure and resilient telecommunications and network services. They are seeking an experienced Field Engineer to support on-site network testing, troubleshooting, and service validation across operational environments.What’s Involved:Delivering field-based support for telecoms and networking infrastructure across operational sites.Applying strong ISO Layer 1/2/3 networking knowledge for installation support, troubleshooting, and service validation.Developing and executing test plans to support service introduction and network changes.Producing detailed test reports and evidence packs to confirm successful service enablement.Performing end-to-end testing and validation of circuits and services across operational and corporate telecoms networks.Verifying relevant configuration and security controls during testing, including access management and monitoring controls.Supporting incident and fault management processes with structured investigation and reporting inputs.Ensuring network records, asset details, and configuration documentation are maintained accurately.Adhering to strict operational, safety, and site access procedures while working within secure environments.What You Need:Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a telecoms or network field engineering role.Full Irish driving license with access to your own car.Full working rights to work in Ireland (stamp 4, EU citizenship etc.)Cisco-certified, working with a Cisco Partner organisation (Select, Premier, or Gold level).Strong practical knowledge of ISO Layer 1/2/3 networking and telecommunications infrastructure.Experience developing and executing test plans and producing technical test documentation.Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting, service validation, and circuit testing.Safe Pass cert is a bonus.Willingness to operate on-site with full PPE and within strict safety compliance frameworks.What’s on Offer:Opportunity to work on critical national infrastructure projects.Exposure to complex telecoms and networking environments.
