We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Health and Safety Advisor in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the safe and successful delivery of our civil engineering projects, starting from the bid preparation through to project planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of health and safety documentation for technical bids and tenders.
* Collaborate with internal teams to identify potential health and safety risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Contribute to the development of technical bid documents, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety requirements.
* Conduct risk assessments and prepare safety plans for upcoming projects.
* Monitor health and safety performance across projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Keep up to date with current Irish health and safety legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
* Attend site visits and project meetings to gain a thorough understanding of on-site requirements and potential safety concerns.
Key Requirements
* A degree or diploma in Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Previous experience (or relevant internship) in a health and safety role within the construction or civil engineering sector.
* Solid understanding of Irish health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Highly organised and detail-oriented.
* A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
