Engineering Lead (Co Clare) Key 2 Recruitment has been retained by an expanding manufacturing multinational company based in Co Clare to recruit an Engineering Lead. Position offers an excellent basic Salary of between €55 to €65k (dependant on experience). Monday to Friday Day Shift. (With full healthcare for the successful candidate and their family and market leading pension contributions). The Engineering Lead will oversee the daily operations of all engineering activities with a focus on site improvements, new projects, optimizing efficiency, maintain quality standards, and managing a small number of engineering staff. Duties: Direct daily operations of the engineering team to ensure a smooth workflow, meeting project schedules and maintaining quality standards. Lead and motivate engineering team to establish and achieve KPIs and profitability goals. Facilitating open two-way communications regarding individual, team and company objectives and performance through weekly team meetings and daily interaction on the line. Lead, train, and develop engineering staff. Continuously analyse the current processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Design and plan the layout of equipment, configure and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve optimum product yield within safety standards and reduced operating costs. Analyze and troubleshoot problems with manufacturing processes, address and resolve technical issues promptly. Scale-up the manufacturing process from pilot to full scale operation, ensuring that products are made correctly, cost effectively, and efficiently. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, making necessary adjustments to production processes and equipment to meet these standards. Implement and maintain quality control checks to ensure the final product meets quality standards. Asses the economic feasibility of projects and processes, manage budgets, and cost estimates. Qualifications: A bachelors degree or equivalent certificate in chemical engineering or related field. Strong ability to analyse data and make decisions that affect the project on a regular basis. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with colleagues and other stakeholders. High level of precision and attention to detail in quantitative analysis and documentation of results. Experience in managing projects, timelines, and resources effectively.
