We are currently recruiting a Clinical Nurse Facilitator for a hospital based in Dublin, Ireland .
Hours: 37.5 per week (Full-Time) Responsibilities Provide education, mentorship, supervision, and professional development support to nursing and healthcare staff, fostering a positive learning environment.
Monitor and evaluate standards of nursing care, addressing clinical concerns and promoting evidence-based practice and care pathways.
Deliver direct patient care as required, ensuring safe, holistic, and person-centred care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Support the implementation of hospital policies, national clinical guidelines (e.g. Sepsis, INEWS), and regulatory standards (NMBI, HIQA, HSA, JCI).
Act as a clinical resource for patients, families, and staff, providing education, reassurance, and clear communication.
Lead, supervise, and support nursing and support staff, promoting teamwork, morale, flexibility, and professional accountability.
Ensure safe medication management practices, emergency preparedness, infection control, and adherence to health and safety requirements.
Identify learning needs, design and deliver education programmes, support induction and orientation, and maintain mandatory training compliance.
Participate in audit, accreditation, quality improvement, incident investigation, and research dissemination to enhance patient outcomes.
Demonstrate effective leadership and management by conducting performance reviews, managing staff issues, reporting to senior nursing management, and contributing to service development.
Requirements Registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
A minimum of 3–5 years' recent post-registration nursing experience (full-time or equivalent part-time), with peri-operative experience including anaesthesia and PACU; experience in General Surgery and Orthopaedics/Trauma is desirable.
Paediatric nursing experience is desirable.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or willingness to obtain same.
A recognised management qualification, or a commitment to undertaking one.
A recognised teaching or education qualification, or willingness to pursue same.
