As part of our ongoing expansion, we are recruiting a
Site Engineer
to support delivery on projects in Dublin.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on medium to large-scale commercial and residential projects, supporting the project team to deliver on time, budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Role Overview
The Site Engineer will manage on-site operations, translate designs into actionable tasks, and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site teams.
The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring all work aligns with project plans, schedules, and specifications.
Monitor project progress and maintain accurate site records in the daily site diary.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and tradespeople for efficient workflows and quality output.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare management systems, including conducting inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
Set out site works using robotic total stations, GPS, and other surveying tools for accurate layouts.
Manage plant, labour, and materials, including monitoring day-work and liaising with suppliers for timely orders.
Address technical issues on-site, interpret drawings, and communicate design changes or construction challenges to the team.
Act as the primary point of contact on-site for contractors, suppliers, inspectors, and regulatory authorities.
Report regularly to management on project progress, resources, and any issues affecting timelines or budgets.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
3-5 years' experience as a Site Engineer on medium to large-scale construction projects.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and Irish building regulations.
Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, or other construction software.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Team-oriented approach with ability to build strong working relationships.
